Today I went to the U.N. conference  with all my classmates except my husband . They talked about Empowerment of women and girls, also they talked about the freedom of speech. Many journalist from other countries came to talk about this issue that many coutries are dealing with. I could not understand a lot becouse of the difference  accent  but I could understand the journalist from oman  :) (  I am happy for that ) . But I didn't agree with him . he said * the people in his country believes that writes in newspapers* so I didn't agree with him  becouse arab people are now more aware and understand that the government control of everything .

  2. Jameelh, I am very happy that you came with us to this conference. Hopefully, you benefited from the experience, even if you were not able to understand all of the speakers. I was glad that you attended the session with the journalist from Oman. I thought that he said that he worked for an independent newspaper that was written in English, but since most of the people cannot read English, they are limited to the Government-controlled newspapers. Do you think I understood correctly? If so, I wonder, who is the audience for his paper?
